Halloween Notice
As Halloween approaches, we would ask that you talk to your players and parents about bonfires in and around football pitches. The damage from one bonfire can take over a year to repair. Bonfires reduce the number of usable pitches and thereby reduce the amount our children can train and play matches. Bearing in mind the demand for the use of pitches across the region, our aim is to prevent a reduction in pitch availability while preserving our public playing fields. Can you please share the attached video on your social media platforms and share with your coaches and players.
Please help raise awareness and combat Halloween bonfires, in cooperation with An Garda Siochana and funded by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council as part of an overall Halloween Safety Awareness campaign.

Fine: €100.00 to the Club.
Sanction; loss of Match with 3 points awarded to opposition and a further 6 points deduction.
The Disciplinary Committee, having considered the match delegate’s report and all other information available to them, finds a breach of Rule Section 2 , Sub section 1, Rule 1.1, Rule 1.3 and Rule 5.1 of the current DDSL rule book issued in August 2024 and sanctions your Club/Individual with the above referenced fine and or sanction.

IT IS IMPORTANT ALL PLAYERS ARE REGISTERED,PLACED ON TEAM PANELS BEFORE THEY PLAY TO ENSURE INSURANCE COVER IS IN PLACE AND ARE IN FULL COMPLIANCE WITH THE RULES, AS SANCTIONS ARE QUITE ONEROUS ON BOTH PLAYERS AND CLUBS.
Please be advised that the league is carrying out checks on player registration, Panel /Player placements and the number of players allocated to panels over the next two weeks to ensure
the compliance, integrity of the rules and competitions.
Thanking you for your co-operation in this regard.
Referees Beginners Course
Please see below the dates & links for the upcoming ‘Online Referee Beginners Course’ to be run by the FAI. We ask that all clubs circulate these dates to all members to ensure more Referees are allocated to the DDSL where we continue to be short of Referees.
Please note all DDSL fixtures & allocation of Referees will be published every Sunday at 7pm.
If there is no Referee allocated to your fixture from our Referee Allocator Killian Travers, the intention of the DDSL is to ensure that all children deserve to play ,any game that has no referee allocated, the home team is asked to provide a referee to ensure the game is played. Given that the fixtures & allocation of Refs are available on a Sunday evening…the clubs will now have up to 6 days to source their own Referee.
Please forward on any ‘Potential Referees’ you can source for your games to Referees@ddsl.ie so these Referees can be pre-approved by the DDSL.
Once you have sourced a Referee….. in the event of no Referee allocation from us…please e-mail Killian with the name of the Referee so we have a record for Report/Disciplinary issues/Insurance etc for these fixtures.
Please ensure to contact your opposition & Referee early in the week to confirm your fixture.

DDSL Referees 24/25 Important Information
On behalf of everyone in the DDSL ,we welcome and thank you for assisting us for the coming season, it is appreciated.
As promised from our recent meeting ,we attach the rules of the ddsl for the coming season.
We have added to our website (under Downloads) match cards, red card reports, rules etc. should you require these. We will ask clubs to print off all match cards but suggest
you carry a few with you. We will also upload our presentation and the FAI ‘Racism’ Presentation over the next week or two as well.
We have also clarified fees with FAI as asked and detail of these are on the web as well as attached.
We have also attached a copy of matchday routines which we are operating as part of a whole ‘’Respect/Lets the kids play’’ campaign which
will launch mid-September. We will give you more information as that evolves.
With results, we ask that all results are updated and sent back with picture of match card via the APP or to results@ddsl.ie at latest on Sunday evening each week.
One final Matter – we are asking all referees to ensure their info is correct on our system/App and would appreciate you populate the information in full especially availability and in particular location tab (which identifies area you live in) as this will assist in us allocating games for you. Link is https://ddsl.sportsmanager.ie/referee/login.php
It is also very important referees accept/reject fixtures with 48 hours to the league (By Tuesday 10am) once published. Any games not accepted/rejected after that period will be reallocated .
We hope we have covered everything and should you have any queries please mail referees@ddsl.ie
