If for unexpected reasons referee's cannot attend their own League's Module they can attend one of the other Eight Modules as per the attached list. However, any Referee attending a Development Module outside of the own League's Module should if possible notify John Ward in the FAI Referee's Department.

From DDSL we would like to congratulate everyone involved with Lourdes Celtic over that period, with a special mention to Eddie Roche, Bowyer Bradley, Tony Merriman and Shay Le Strange. It was great to see Keith Andrews in attendance and hear his views on Irish football. A special word of thanks to Lourdes Football Club for taking the time on their special night to honour Fran Ray for his contribution to schoolboy football over the long number of years he is involved in football. All clubs were notified by e-mail and attached was a draft of the rules for the new season, this is the only item on the agenda for the EGM. Following the EGM, the opening meeting for the new season will be held in the same venue directly after the EGM has concluded. This is not a formation meeting as clubs will retain the position they started the interim season in (unless a club requested a change) which will be subject to the relevant fixture secretary to decide on. As soon as the leagues are sorted they will appear on this website.

Early in the game, Wicklow were awarded a free kick and from all of 30 yards out, they fired in a shot on the DDSL goal, where keeper Jack Kelly was unfortunate to fumble the ball. It fell to the feet of the attacking striker who duly poked the ball home for the opening score.

On behalf of the League I would like to thank all those who attended and for their participation in the workshop, with a special thanks to the young players & coaches from Cherry Orchard & St Kevin's Boys.

The same set up and rules as per last seasons under 10's will apply to the 11's age group with regards to the retreat line. In response to the many queries on when the retreat line become active - When a goal-kick is awarded after the football has gone wide, all players with the exception of 2 defenders of the team, and to introduce an element of pressure, 1 player from the opposing team, may remain in the area. When the ball is rolled from the goalkeepers hands the game is live and the opposition are allowed to press the ball.

Clubs who fail to return trophies by the above date will be fined for every week or part thereof until returned to the League.
235710/06/1610/06/1612SSG NoticesWe would urge all clubs to ensure that all goals are staked down in accordance with guidelines. It is in the interest of safety that this is adhered to. Clubs should be reported if goals are not staked and this could lead to their fixtures being held up. Each week there are more and more complaints from clubs about the behaviour of parents and spectators on the sideline. It is important that we remember the small sided game was set up to prepare young children for the full 11 a side game. This Small Sided Game is a development league and should be played in the spirit of FAIR PLAY. It is the responsibility of clubs to ensure that their parents and spectators behave themselves. If clubs cannot control their spectators they should not permit them at matches.
