Another fantastic day of action in Abbottstown as we had another 3 rounds of fixtures in the DDSL Life Style Friendship Cup. Ajax have set the pace and taken a commanding position with 4 wins from 4 but the DDSL have put themselves in a great position, if we beat Bayen Munich in the morning we will reach the final against Ajax, get out and support the lads as we look to crown a special year for the DDSL.

DDSL Life Style Sports Friendship Cup - Results from Day 1 (Friday 4th May)

The sun shone down on Abbottstown as the DDSL Life Style Sports Friendship Cup got off to a cracking start on Friday 4th May with 3 very competitive games. The calibre and quality of opposition is of the highest standard and that has been seen in the opening round of fixtures which has produced some very tight results, see below;

Dublin District Schoolboy’s League (DDSL) were delighted to announce Life Style Sports as title sponsor of the inaugural DDSL Friendship Cup which will take place in FAI Headquarters, Abbottstown on the May Bank Holiday Weekend, 4th – 6th May.

Celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, the DDSL is the biggest schoolboy league in Europe and has brought to Dublin a stellar line-up of the world’s biggest clubs including Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Ajax to compete against a DDSL league team over 3 days of Under-13 action.

The partnership was officially announced last week at a dedicated team sports zone ‘Boot Room’ at Life Style Sports Grafton Street, Dublin.

Working with Players with Autism Workshops

The Football Association of Ireland and The Irish Society of Autism have partnered up to deliver the above workshop for all coaches in Ireland to increase their knowledge of autism and receive some very effective strategies and tools when working with players with the various types autism.

The workshops are taking place across varies venues in Ireland over the coming three weeks and due to funding support from Dormant accounts these workshops will be free of charge.
