Calendar Season 2018

Following the AGM last night and the discussion on the calendar season 2018 - all the information and changes agreed were sent out to all the club secretaries by email earlier this morning. Should you require any additional forms - they are available to download from the website.

We would really appreciate if all clubs can complete the provisional team application sheet to allow the fixture secretaries work on league formations in advance of the official team registration on the Myclubfinances system.

Thanking you in advance for your co-operation

Sad passing of James"Maxi"McCann

The DDSL offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of the late James” Maxie” McCann who passed away earlier this week.

The league has learned of the recent sad passing of James "Maxie" McCann, father of Ray McCann, a stalwart of schoolboy game in Dublin. Maxie as he was known to all those in the football family joined the Hoops in 1954 and played as a winger. He made his debut against the auld enemy Bohemians FC on April 10th resulting in a 2-0 for the Hoops, having signed the previous week. On his second senior appearance for the Green and White Hoops – he scored a hat trick. He played in a European competition for the Milltown club, famously scoring in a 3-2 defeat for Rovers against Manchester United in a 1957 European Cup Preliminary Round tie at Old Trafford.
